A method for determining the parameters of ultrashort waveband antenna with a weak directivity

A method for carrying out measurements to determine the parameters of ultrashort waveband antenna of weak directivity peculiar ti it in free space by the method of surface tests under the condition of the Earth mirror- reflection is considered and developed. The errors of determination of antenna gain are estimated. The obtained results are compared with simulation results.

Multipath reception: equivalent model and method of virtual antennas

The reception problem depending on directional properties of transmitting and receiving antennas, and also on locations and properties of a set of the lumped reradiating objects is considered in the context of general problem of multipath propagation of waves. The problem is solved by the method named as the method of virtual antennas. The method is based on constructed equivalent model of reception in which the receiving antenna is replaced hypothetically by the set of virtual receiving antennas mutually spaced with accordance the beams falling on the replaced receiving antenna. the results arising from the obtained common decision in special cases are compared with the earlier known.
